Connection My first connection from the book Tangerine, to my topic child pyschology has to do with Erik. Erik could have benifited from a child psychologist. Erik was a very troubled child and perhaps if he had counseling in his childhood he wouldn't have been as destructive as he was. Erik's childhood was filled with hatred and anger towards his brother and his acquaintances. He spray- painted his little brother's eyes on purpose. He wanted to hurt him and he did. Erik needed more than his parents help. He needed a proffesional's help. The thearpy sessions could have helped him learn to channel his anger elsewhere and help him deal with his anger issues. Now that Erik is older, he has gotten into a habit of bad behavior. I do not think it is too late for Erik. With help, he may be able to change his ways. If he had a child psychologist when he was younger, his life and the lives of others would be much better.
